October 14, 2012 - Kansas City to Baltimore

The weather forecast for Monday's flight home had not looked good earlier in the week.  I had even given some thought to leaving Sunday afternoon but we really didn't have much daylight left for that.  Fortunately, almost magically, the forecast improved for Monday.   And on Monday, although not perfect like Saturday and Sunday, the weather wasn't bad at all.

We flew back with Jerry & Gina in loose formation.   We had a slight tailwind going home which was nice considering we had a tailwind coming out also.

Approaching St. Louis.  The Mississippi River is to the left and the Missouri is joining it to the right.

Over St. Louis International Airport at 9,500 feet.

Looking at downtown St. Louis and the arch from the northwest.

RV-7 over St. Louis.   The Arch is in the center of the picture.

The view from the RV-8.

We stopped at Cynthiana, Kentucky again for gas and lunch, then continued on.  There were clouds over the Appalachians but it was clear on the other side so we just went over them.

Almost home.  Transiting across Baltimore.

Lynnette took this nice sunset picture looking back west.
